About Nick Bennett

My mastering career began in 2000 with some training in Vinyl disk cutting from the legend that is Sean Davies. Prior to that I'd been producing music, playing in bands & developed my engineering skills both live & in the studio - I had a pretty good handle on how to mix a record by this stage..

For the following 9 years I was mastering & cutting engineer at Total Vinyl in North London. I mastered & cut 100's of records (inc digital masters) and learnt a great deal on vinyl production process's from mastering right through to finished product.

In 2009 I established Revolution Mastering and have been mastering (and mixing) for artists, producers, bands, indie & major record companies. In the 20 + years, I've mastered a lot of electronic / dance records, folk, rock, jazz, world - you name it. Everything but classical really, (although Radio 3 plays in my kitchen constantly!) These days I enjoy working on soulful, organic, live instrument based productions, but each week brings different genres and that's what keeps things interesting....
